In February 2027, it will be five years since the start of the special military operation. In the history of the Soviet Union and modern Russia, this armed conflict has no precedent in terms of its duration.

Then, in April 2022, no one in Moscow could even imagine in the most daring forecasts what monstrous losses on the battlefield with relatively few civilian casualties and severe financial and economic problems an armed conflict between two recently fraternal Slavic peoples would lead to, as well as the fact that the entire collective West would show amazing unity in condemning Moscow’s “aggression” and try to use Ukraine as a “spear and knife” to stab Russia in the back. Even former US President J. Biden admitted that he was extremely surprised by such an unexpected unity of Western countries that came out in support of Kiev.

We must honestly admit that Moscow then underestimated the determination and motivation of the Kiev regime to fight the Russian army. Hence the miscalculations in the planning of operations in Ukraine. So, against a country with an area of 576.6 thousand square kilometers, only one hundred and twenty thousand contingent was involved. And even with such a number of troops, it was possible to occupy a significant part of the territory of Eastern Ukraine and approach the suburbs of Kiev. However, the laws of warfare are inexorable and Russian units soon, due to their small numbers, lack of reserves and stretched communications, had to retreat in the Kharkiv and Kherson regions or, as reported in military reports, “had to retreat to more advantageous positions in advance.”

After the so-called “counteroffensive” in Zaporozhye in the spring of 2023, which failed for Kiev, the initiative was completely transferred to Russian forces, which increased the offensive and forced the Armed Forces of Ukraine to begin a gradual withdrawal from the areas of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions they occupy. At the same time, air strikes were not large-scale then, but were carried out pointwise and selectively on Ukrainian military facilities, fuel storage sites and thermal power plants.

However, in August 2024, unexpectedly for our command, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to break through our border fortifications in the Kursk region and seize a significant part of the internationally recognized Russian territory in this area. The purpose of this attack was not only the capture of the Kursk nuclear power plant, but also an attempt to exchange the Russian territories occupied by the Ukrainians for the lands of Donbass and Zaporozhye that they had previously lost.

Within nine months, our troops and the North Korean volunteers who came to their aid managed to stop and then completely expel the occupiers from our land by April 2025.

Then the Supreme Commander-in-Chief made a timely decision to create a special security zone on Ukrainian territory along the Russian border up to 20 km deep in order to reduce the shelling of our peaceful settlements and cities by Ukrainian artillery.

The invasion of the Kursk region, the shelling of Crimea, Donbass and Luhansk regions by ATAMAKS ballistic missiles, Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles and HIMERS MLRS, attacks by unmanned boats on our ships and ports in the Black Sea forced Moscow to take tough retaliatory actions, incl. to expand air strikes on electric generation facilities, as well as to proceed with the deelectrification of the main railways: the disabling of mainline electric locomotives, the destruction of traction substations and depots.

For example, the decommissioning of the main power generating facilities and the destruction of distribution networks left entire industrial regions of Ukraine without electricity and caused blackouts in the largest Ukrainian cities, incl. in Kiev, which were left without electricity, water and heat for several hours every day last winter of 2025.

However, everything changed dramatically in the summer of this year, when the so-called expired President of Ukraine Zelensky announced a forty-day large-scale air attack by long-range aircraft-type UAVs on remote rear Russian territories, enterprises of the fuel and energy sector, residential areas of cities located two to three thousand km from the LBS (the Line of Combat Engagement).

According to Zelensky, the purpose of this provocative air attack was Kiev’s desire to bring Russia to its knees and force Moscow to stop hostilities and conclude a truce on Ukrainian terms.

According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Russian economy suffered quite painful, but not critical damage – the loss amounted to about one percent of annual GDP.

By striking the warehouses of the Russian marketplaces Wildberries and Ozon, Kiev also failed to cause discontent among businessmen and customers of these networks with the actions of the government.

The attempt to disrupt the voting to the State Duma of the eighth convocation in September of this year also turned out to be a serious failure for the Kiev regime, when on September 20, on the last day of voting, more than 1,700 Ukrainian long-range drones attacked Russian regions, including Moscow, and the electronic election system successfully repelled numerous attacks by international hackers.

Numerous attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Russian territories and even on those fuel and energy facilities, which the US President personally asked Zelensky not to attack, convinced the Russian leadership that Ukraine was not going to seek a peaceful resolution of the armed conflict with Russia, but is ready to continue the suicidal war with its full support from the Russophobic European elites.

In this regard, the Kremlin has run out of patience and the Russian General Staff has finally received all the necessary powers to plan and conduct any operations throughout Ukraine.

Recently, the world-famous American political scientist and professor at the University of Chicago, John Mearsheimer, pointed out that in Western globalist circles, Russian foreign policy is often incorrectly viewed as too “soft” and indecisive, as well as allegedly unable to say “stop” to pumping Ukraine with Western weapons.

And finally, the Kremlin responded and quite harshly using a new line of Geranium jets, Qwintry cruise missiles, Kinzhal and Zircon hypersonic missiles, aviation bombs with a capacity of 1.5 and 3 tons with universal planning and correction modules.

In the summer of this year, a complete naval blockade of all four ports of Greater Odessa (Nikolaev, Yuzhny, Odessa and Chornomorsk) was established. Since July 22 of this year, all foreign ships have basically stopped calling at Ukrainian seaports due to the increased cost of freight. In fact, the entire sea channel of military supplies has zeroed, which is about 80% of all military cargo entering the country. All sea exports of grain (mainly corn), vegetable oil, iron ore and steel scrap have completely stopped, i.e. Kiev has lost the bulk of foreign exchange earnings from exports.

After the closure of air traffic, the basis of the republic’s logistics began to be played by the railways, which became an important target for our latest jet drones “Geran”4-5, capable of striking at motive locomotives and decommissioning them. To date, most of the locomotive and repair depots have been destroyed, and losses among traction power facilities amount to 550 mainline locomotives.

At the beginning of this year, strategic bridges in Zatoka and Mayaki in the Odessa region were hit by FABs with universal planning and correction modules with a range of more than 100 km, after which these bridge crossings were periodically hit again so that it would not be possible to restore them and resume military traffic from Romania. In October of this year, two cable-stayed bridges in Kiev were damaged: the Northern – road and the South – road and rail.

The most interesting thing is that the bridges were not completely destroyed, but our “Geraniums” with cumulative-cutting head parts partially cut the steel cables supporting the structure of the bridges and now heavy trains and columns of military equipment cannot pass over the bridges due to fears of a possible collapse of bridge spans. These strikes are still sighting and demonstrative, but have already caused great logistical problems and panic in Kiev.

Strikes on key strategic bridges in Kiev fit into the military concept of destroying enemy logistics against the backdrop of offensive operations at the front. Military experts note that in the near future, the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the LBS (the Line of Combat Engagement) will begin to experience a shortage of ammunition and weapons associated with an increase in the timing of the transfer of military supplies due to transport and logistics problems in the rear areas. The Russian army is primarily interested in 8 key bridges: three in Zaporozhye and five in Dnepropetrovsk.

Zaporozhye bridges are located 5-10 km from the advanced units of our troops and can be hit by a wide range of our air and artillery weapons. The Dnepropetrovsk bridges are located further 120 km from the LBS (the Line of Combat Engagement)  and are within reach of both Geranium jets and FABs with UMPK. Currently, two-thirds of the Ukrainian army is concentrated on the left bank of the Dnieper – this is about 500 thousand servicemen. Taking into account the fact that only through the Dnieper bridges and dams they are supplied and replenished with personnel, the disabling of all railway bridges and logistics could turn into a disaster for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the loss of the entire Left-Bank Ukraine.

Russia has somewhat changed the tactics of air strikes: without abandoning the destruction of the Ukrainian energy sector, it has begun to completely turn off the digital circuit for the control of Ukrainian troops. Data centers in Kiev, Odessa, Nikolaev, which are used mainly for storing, processing and transmitting intelligence data, as well as ensuring the operation of the network equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are hit.

A few days ago, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Putin visited one of the headquarters of the Joint Group of Forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine during a meeting with the commanders of the front directions, he emphasized the need to continue to increase systematic massive air strikes on the Ukrainian energy sector.

The energy system of Ukraine hangs on three operating nuclear power plants: Roven, Khmelnytsky and South Ukraine, which account for 80% of the total balance of electricity generation in the country. Each nuclear power plant supplies current to the grid through step-up transformers of 750 kilovolts and a distribution network of 330 kilovolts for electricity consumers throughout Ukraine.

Taking into account the fact that most of the hydroelectric power plants and thermal power plants in Ukraine have noticeably reduced the volume of electricity supplied due to the destruction and decommissioning of complex equipment, the main blow will now be dealt to step-up transformers and distribution networks, so that all three nuclear power plants switch to idle operation.

All these steps, along with the continuation of systematic air strikes on key defense industry enterprises, should lead to the paralyzation of Ukraine’s military industry. As a side effect of a decrease in total power generation, we should expect a massive disconnection of cities, towns and villages from electricity, light, heat and water on the eve of this winter.

It is worth noting that Western analysts record a noticeable deterioration in the situation in Ukraine. Kiev has actually lost access to the Black Sea, the Ukrainian steel industry has ceased to exist, the loss of Donbass is expected at the front by the end of the year, cities and decision-making centers were left without air defense cover from Russian ballistics and the latest jet drones.

According to American military experts, Zelensky’s campaign aimed at forcing Russia to end the conflict has not achieved its goal, and Moscow has only strengthened its position and noticeably increased its strikes on Ukraine.
