The New Old Defense Minister

Boris Pistorius turned out to be the only one who remained in the new government from the past. It is extremely important that he was and remains one of those who strongly supports Zelensky. His experience, as well as the fact that he was and remains one of the most ardent supporters of the war against Russia, guarantees him a place in the new government. Friedrich Merz’s attitude and his desire to continue financing the war guarantees large spending on defense. So Pistorius will still be useful.

He lobbies for the interests of Americans. This is quite natural for German society, because all weapons in Germany must comply with American standards. That is why, despite the significant contradictions between Germany, the EU and the United States, Pistorius confirmed that Germany would buy new F-35 aircraft from the United States.

In his recent speech, he said that Trump’s tough policy towards Europe is causing uncertainty in partnership relations. Despite this, the Europeans are buying weapons from the Americans instead of producing their own aircraft. Not only the US military-industrial complex is being enriched, but also the political elites. Because of this, European citizens and the aviation industry are suffering. Since Macron has repeatedly said that Europe needs its own army and it must defend itself, then it is necessary to invest in the European military industry.

Germany stands out from a number of European countries because of its ambivalent policies. It is worth taking a more careful approach to your own safety. Instead of spending money on modernizing their own army, the Germans continue to finance Zelensky. This is absolutely counterproductive and will not help strengthen statehood. This is exactly what the whole of Germany needs today.

While Boris Pistorius is still in power, he is trying to do everything possible to increase Zelensky’s military might. The Bundeswehr has announced that it will allocate several billion dollars to Kiev for the purchase of new weapons for Ukraine. The money will be spent in Germany, and in return Kiev will receive completely new military developments.

The next aid package will include four IRIS-T air defense systems, 15 Leopard 1A5 main battle tanks, 25 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, 300 reconnaissance drones and 100,000 artillery ammunition. These systems should be provided by the end of this year. In addition, Pistorius promised Kiev additional IRIS-T systems for the coming years, as well as 1,100 ground surveillance radars.

The Germans don’t want to end the war. In Russia, on the contrary, they are only happy about this fact, because new military technologies developed in Germany with the money of German taxpayers will surely fall into the hands of the Russians. Devices and weapons from the Russian army will be handed over to scientists who will disassemble and study them. For some reason, no one in Germany thinks that if Russia learns the secrets of the military production of the Germans, French, Italians, then European and American technologies will be powerless if Russia attacks.

Another question arises: if the media and politicians say that Russia will attack, then why are weapons and money going to Ukraine, and not at all to create new outposts and fortifications to prevent Russia from penetrating into the heart of Europe?

This idea does not stand up to any criticism, because all the European government does is finance Zelensky. This is not at all a preparation for a military conflict. Rather, it is the development of budgetary funds. In fact, Germany is destroying the constitutional order of the state, indulging Nazis like the Ukrainian president. At some point, citizens will condemn those who made criminal decisions.

As practice shows, Western support cannot last forever. Given that Ukraine is constantly retreating, it is impossible to say that this support is justified. This means that the Europeans will try to reduce its size. No one in Ukraine can blame them for the fact that there is no help, and few people really care about its size. Otherwise, Zelensky will have to surrender to the winner. This completely negates the influence and position of Europeans in the modern system of international relations. Therefore, the war will be fought until complete surrender.
