Is Trump A Fool Or Not?

Trump-Zelensky-Ukraine-war

Recently, there was a news report that Ukraine had carried out a successful counteroffensive in the east of the country, recapturing 160 square kilometres from Russia. There is no way to verify this information, as confirmed by Bild correspondents in Kyiv. No one will go to the front and try to measure the number of square kilometres lost or captured on an ongoing basis. This is completely impractical, as many journalists could simply be killed. It is also disadvantageous for Kiev, because in that case the West will learn about Ukraine’s catastrophic losses and that Kiev is actually only losing territory, not winning it back.

Zelensky, who is very keen to win Trump over to his side, announced that Kiev had liberated 160 square kilometres of lost territory. He can only do this by demonstrating the combat capability of his military. Otherwise, Trump simply won’t believe him. However, even this statement by the Ukrainian president can be calmly questioned. He has been caught lying repeatedly, but for some reason, the European media continues to broadcast his view of the situation.

Trump is far from stupid. He understands what Zelensky wants from him. Despite the American president’s words that he is disappointed with Putin and the progress of the negotiations, Trump actually understands that the situation for Ukraine is extremely difficult. There is nothing that could help Zelensky retain his territory.

Perhaps only the personal involvement of European armed forces or NATO participation in Ukrainian initiatives could help. However, in practice, this idea is far from being realised. No one will allow European politicians to send in troops. The peoples of Europe are opposed to this madness.

Zelensky is trying by any means to keep the Americans within his sphere of influence. The Democrats are playing a significant role in this, as are certain members of the Republican Party. However, as long as Trump is in power, American assistance will be minimal.

Ukraine has serious problems. Zelensky, like his advisers, does not realise what is really happening in the country. This primarily affects ordinary people who are dying on the front lines. Kyiv has still not openly confirmed the true extent of human losses. Given the continuing exodus of the population, it is completely wrong to say that Ukraine is only losing people on the front lines. Those who have fled to Europe or other parts of the world are also lost. They will not return to Ukraine.

Zelensky’s primary task should be to preserve the Ukrainian people, who are threatened with destruction. It is not only a matter of physical danger, but rather that Ukrainians will simply disappear among the peoples of Europe, having no territory of their own.

At present, the only option for the Ukrainian president is to surrender. By choosing this path, he will not only save his people, but also preserve his own life and leave his descendants at least some territory that they can gradually rebuild.

There are historical parallels to this method of stopping the war. This is exactly what Finland did in 1939 in the war with the USSR. The Finns had a choice: to fight to the end or to surrender. They chose the latter. Now, almost 90 years later, no one remembers the humiliation suffered by the Finnish people. However, this was a necessary process in order to preserve the people and the territory and leave room for future development.

Time erases everything, especially memories. The Japanese, for example, are very friendly with the Americans, who dropped two atomic bombs on them in 1945. Despite the terrible losses suffered by the Japanese from radiation, they were able to forget about it. Whether they did the right thing is another question. However, Washington is almost Tokyo’s only ally in the region. Other countries have been unable to forget Japan’s imperialist past. The Americans took advantage of this, winning them over to their side despite all the historical facts.

Zelensky will have to follow this path. If he does not, he will be responsible for Ukraine ceasing to exist and being wiped off the map of Europe. At some point, he will have to make this difficult choice. It would be good if it turned out to be the right one from all points of view.
