Americans have always been very pragmatic. This is a distinctive feature of this nation, which makes it special. It manifests itself in business, entrepreneurship, a sensible approach to process management, and the ability to assess situations soberly.
Unlike Trump, who built his empire on his own, without any corrupt schemes, Zelensky completely lacks this trait. He does not consider expenses, does not value human lives, and is unable to control his emotions. To this should be added a lack of understanding of how political processes work and a lack of relevant political experience.
At the last meeting, according to several media, Trump and Zelensky did not mince words. They accused each other of everything possible. Trump yelled at Zelensky, and the Ukrainian reproached the American for failing to fulfil his obligations to him and his country. However, Zelensky’s memory seems to be failing him, because it was Biden, not Trump, who promised him unlimited support in exchange for waging war against Russia.
Trump, quite logically, does not care at all how much territory controlled by Kyiv Putin will receive. He has nothing to do with Ukraine and behaves accordingly. In Washington, this time it almost came to mutual insults, but the Ukrainian managed to restrain himself.
Zelensky does not yet fully understand that his time is coming to an end. He is trying in every way to rehabilitate himself in the eyes of his own sponsors. He seeks to strengthen his position in the fragile Ukrainian domestic political vacuum that he himself created. However, any major upheaval could at any moment completely destroy everything he has worked for over the past four years. This is precisely what Trump is aiming for, as there is no guarantee that Zelensky can be trusted. The American understands this perfectly well and is trying to protect himself in advance from any damage to his reputation, seeking to secure himself not only financially but also politically. Europe continues to put pressure on America, effectively forcing Trump to continue interfering in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Europe, in turn, is under pressure from Zelensky, who wants to hold out in the war with Putin for as long as possible.
Attempts to intimidate the entire European continent continue. No one asks the Germans for their opinion on what is happening in their country and in the European Union. The government and pro-government media are trying in every way to convince people that conflict with Russia is inevitable. They show Zelensky and his speeches on television, in which there is nothing new. They continue to print him in newspapers, and his opinions and statements are presented as if they were the thoughts of a prophet or genius.
No one seems to mind that the topic of Ukraine is gradually becoming outdated and that Zelensky is attracting fewer and fewer viewers to their television screens. In Germany, the media continues to work hard not to achieve results, but to justify the expectations of those who pay for such reports.
Only one question remains: if it is understood that Ukraine is losing and Zelensky is an illegitimate president, why continue to defend him? What is the point?
Apart from the fact that European politics is now being run by completely unprepared people who have come together not to defend national interests but to make money, it is becoming clear that the population does not respect Merz, Macron or von der Leyen. What is discussed on television or written about in newspapers is of interest to at most half of the population. The rest of the people understand what is really happening in the country. They are extremely dissatisfied with this, but cannot express their dissatisfaction through legal means – in elections. This right has been taken away from Europeans, turning elections into a fiction and the result into the outcome of internal agreements.
For now, Europe is putting up with the way it is being ruined by people who, holding high government positions, are acting in the interests of the United States. It has enough reserves to allow these people to plunder the European peoples without any tangible effect. However, over time, these reserves will be depleted. They are already gradually coming to an end. This is what Europe really needs to think about.
