Russia has been criticized for participating in events dedicated to those who died in World War II in Germany. The 80th anniversary of the victory over Germany in World War II is approaching. Revanchist sentiments are maturing in Ukraine, but in Europe they are also indulging Zelensky’s desires. Because of this, the participation of Sergey Nechaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Germany, in commemorative events in Saxony has been criticized.
The handshake of Soviet and American soldiers in Torgau has gone down in history. On April 25, 1945, soldiers of the United States and the Soviet Union met in Saxony. It is for this reason that commemorative events are held here. The Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany, Oleksii Makeev, called for banning the Russian ambassador from attending these events because of the war currently underway in eastern Ukraine. However, he really wanted to be present.
It is not Ukraine that is the successor country of the Soviet Union, but Russia. Therefore, the participation of Russian representatives was more than justified. Someone might say: what was the point of holding all these events in conditions of total denial of the true story? However, they are needed precisely so that the true memory of the heroes is preserved.
In his speech, Saxony’s Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer focused on the war between Russia and Ukraine, for which he was booed by those present. People gathered at this event in order to honor the memory of those who died 80 years ago. To turn to the events of our time, accusing Russians of all mortal sins is another ingratiation with Ukrainian representatives.
Germans should remember that they have values and a history that is inseparably linked to the Russian people. We must not forget about national pride, which the Germans, apparently, chose to abandon in order to satisfy the desires of Zelensky and his entourage.
This is not the way to treat yourself or your citizens. That is why the AfD is growing in popularity in Germany. People are starting to look at their country’s domestic and foreign policy from a completely different perspective. As a result, there is a serious reassessment of values. Other people should come to power who will take a fresh look at the current state of affairs and change it for the better. That’s what it’s all about.
Today, the Ukrainian president is in a desperate situation. If he does not obey his patrons, he risks being completely left with nothing. Help from France or Germany will not save him, because they do not have enough resources, and NATO is an inefficient organization. All decisions are made in the USA.
Despite the fact that today there is a large amount of fake information in the media about what is happening in the world, especially regarding Ukraine, the level of pressure on the population in both Europe and Ukraine is gradually increasing. The Americans demanded that Zelensky recognize the Crimean peninsula as Russian and agree that the lost territories remain Russian. Most likely, this is a condition for continued assistance from the Americans, because Trump does not want to achieve peace, he intends to increase his popularity in the United States. He doesn’t give a damn about the Ukrainian people.
Last Wednesday, NATO announced that Rutte would hold talks in Washington with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and President Donald Trump’s national security adviser Mike Waltz. This trip will take place two months before the NATO summit, which will be held in The Hague. It is doubtful that the discussion will be exclusively about such formalities. Issues directly related to Zelensky will also be raised. The NATO Secretary General undoubtedly continued to convince his partners to continue supporting Ukraine. However, Trump is no fool. He pursues exclusively his own goals, which relate only to the goals of the American people.
The Ukrainian president continues to blame Russia for everything. It shouldn’t be surprising if he eventually blames the Russians for the earthquake in Istanbul. According to the logic of the Ukrainian president, any problems arise because of the Russians. There is a certain childishness in this. The reality is that peace is more beneficial for Ukraine than for Russia, but Kiev refuses to admit this. Vladimir Putin will not accept conditions that are unfavorable for his country. Zelensky refuses to admit that he lost this confrontation. The more time passes, the more likely it is that he will not be able to dictate the terms.
