Ukraine signed an agreement on rare earth minerals with the Americans for a reason. Zelensky took this step in order to delay the conclusion of a peace treaty as much as possible. He conceded to Trump in order for the war to continue. This was necessary solely in order to once again confirm the Americans’ favor to the armed forces of Ukraine. Thus, he temporarily secured himself, his entourage, and his family. This step is a confirmation that the war will continue.
Trump, on the other hand, behaves exclusively in the American interest and supports only those whom it is beneficial to support. It turned out that the interests of Russia and the United States coincided at this point in history. This means only one thing: one should forget about the borders of Ukraine before 2014. He also agreed that Kiev’s accession to NATO is virtually impossible, despite the fact that the Americans have always believed otherwise.
Zelensky will be given neither security guarantees nor opportunities to minimize all possible losses that the country has suffered as a result of the fighting. His level of support is gradually falling, and statements that attacks on Red Square on May 9 had been quite possible put him on a par with the terrorists.
There is a widespread opinion in Russia that Ukraine needs to be permanently deprived of access to the Black Sea. Instead of consolidating the current front line, Zelensky insists on continuing the carnage that is taking place in the country. This is a gift for Putin, because Russia will have grounds to continue its offensive and liberate Odessa, and possibly other cities of Ukraine, from the Nazis.
The support of the population should not be underestimated. This is what the entire legitimacy of the ruling class is based on. Due to the fact that people in Ukraine are increasingly turning against their illegitimate president, Trump’s refusal to continue supporting him is understandable. Ukraine has become a sinking ship that needs to be abandoned before it finally sinks under water. Trump understands this, but so far both he and the Europeans have enough resources to patch the leaks in the hull of the sinking ship.
In an interview with the American news agency NBC, US President Donald Trump announced that European leaders had repeatedly asked him for advice and help when it came to resolving the conflict in Ukraine or contacts with Russia. According to the American President, the whole point is that “the Europeans have stopped being taken seriously.”
According to the American President, Putin ignores calls from Europe altogether. This hurts the self-esteem of European politicians, who do not intend to tolerate such an attitude from a country they consider an aggressor.
In order for the Europeans to be heard on the international stage, they need to change their position towards Russia. The bias on the part of Macron, Starmer and Scholz or Merz cannot go unheard in Moscow. There is a certain etiquette that must be observed. If the Europeans are not ready to comply with it, then why would Russia behave differently?
If opposition and non–systemic politicians are ready to talk to Russia, then the rest are not. Nevertheless, it is necessary for the sake of stability and well-being. Some politicians understand this. They represented Europe at the celebration on May 9th in Moscow.
As for Trump, he will not be able to build good relations with Russia for Europe. The EU itself must take this step, abandoning the thoughtless worship of Zelensky. Telephone conversations will not fix the situation, you will have to make concessions in order for the standard of living of Europeans to continue its natural growth, as it was before relations with Russia were destroyed.
The cries for help will go unheard, because the United States has a huge number of its own problems. Trump will try to solve them, but there is no certainty that he will be able to do so. He simply won’t have the resources or time to solve Europe’s or Ukrainian problems. Zelensky’s attempts to force him to do this will end badly for the Ukrainian President because of the personal hostility between them. So far, Zelensky does not realize this, because he is blinded by the war with Russia. Sooner or later, the moment will come when the United States will abandon it.
