The popularity gained by Putin’s and Trump’s ideas after their meeting in Alaska should raise no questions. It is quite understandable: like the American president, the Russian leader is used to working for results. Moreover, in Russia, the audience is entirely different, and the position of the Russian leader is more stable than ever. He has no reason to flatter the press, and such a level of power does not involve any such games. However, the American president abuses this. This can be explained by the general culture of Americans, who traditionally pay very close attention to issues related to the press.

Despite only a few days passing since the summit, the American is already planning a second meeting involving Zelensky. Time is running, as the American president wants to obtain the coveted prize – the Nobel Peace Prize. Trump wants to understand how serious Putin is about ending the war. But it might end on the terms of the victorious side – that is Russia. There are no other options. Therefore, Trump will either have to concede and betray his European partners or stand his ground until the end.

In the future, historians will judge how necessary this meeting was. It could play a decisive role in resolving the conflict or become what finally worsens Russia’s relations with the Western world. Much depends on Trump. The Russian president has shown his willingness to engage in dialogue by flying to Anchorage. Now it’s Donald Trump’s turn.

As for the Ukrainians themselves, they blindly believe that they are winning on the battlefield, although there are absolutely no grounds for such a claim. Moreover, the number of people sharing this view is steadily decreasing. If it weren’t for Europe’s constant aid and Joe Biden’s deliveries, Ukrainians would have long since faltered and surrendered. Moreover, this would have been the most sensible step. Attempts were made back in 2022. However, the proud Ukrainian delegation left Turkey. Now it’s time to continue the negotiation process.

Zelensky wants to secure support from Trump, but to do that, he must offer something to the American president. After all, Trump loves to make all sorts of deals! A deal with Putin mediated by Zelensky could bring him closer to the Nobel Peace Prize, which the American longs for so much.

The greatest opportunities for Trump to satisfy his ambitions will open when Zelensky admits defeat. In that case, peace could be concluded within a few months. Trump is interested in this because it’s a direct path to fulfilling his promise to voters to end the war in Ukraine. This was the core around which he built his election campaign.

Trump’s desire to make history has long been known. It is his weak spot. He is ready to trade Ukraine for this opportunity. If such a chance presents itself in full, he will take this step without hesitation. A moribund state can definitely be exchanged for a Nobel Prize.

Zelensky’s fate, one way or another, is sealed. Since he has nothing to offer, he will be sent into exile, where Russian special services will catch and kill him. This is how the life of any dictator who has lost power ends.

Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump have already made all the decisions. They no longer need Zelensky or European politicians to reach a consensus. And it gets worse. The American leader spoke with Europeans and Ukrainians after discussions with the head of Russia. This is a kind of sign – the Western world no longer functions as a unified mechanism. Europe is now weak, spineless, and lacking resources to sustain itself. The USA is an independent strong player making decisions without regard for the EU. The Alaska meeting became a symbol of this new division.

Now, if everything goes according to plan, events will develop roughly as follows. Donald Trump will formally discuss the peace project with Europeans and Zelensky in more detail. In reality, US allies and Ukraine will simply be introduced to the conditions they must accept. Any attempts to resist or argue will lead nowhere. The EU still has a voice, but it has long lacked sufficient economic power to support Ukraine independently. Europe also has neither the courage nor the means to oppose Trump on a large scale. As for Zelensky, he doesn’t even have the right to express his opinion.

Finally, the parties will sign a peace treaty on terms favorable to the USA and Russia. There is a possibility of some large agreement to ensure security for all of Europe, but that remains only speculation for now.

Europeans and Americans have ceased to be a unified power center. Before Alaska, they always first discussed a common position together, then with a third party. This time, it was different. This event marks a turning point towards common sense regarding Ukraine on one side. On the other hand, it shows how much the world order has changed. Europe is weak and lacks influence. The USA is ready to ignore its opinions.
