In Europe, politicians continue to insist that Putin wants to conquer Europe. According to their logic, Ukraine, which is not part of the EU but would very much like to be, will be the first to fall.
Even NATO has recognised the military exercises taking place in Russia and Belarus as ‘not dangerous for Europe’. However, this statement went unnoticed amid the huge flow of information that Putin is about to attack Europe. The fact that Europeans believe these statements is quite justified. All this is presented in an extremely distorted form. However, this is not even the most important thing. What is important is that there is no alternative opinion being broadcast on television.
At the same time, no one mentions that NATO is also conducting its own military exercises. Very soon, military exercises will be held in Romania, in which French and Spanish troops will also take part. But German viewers do not need to know about this.
The same applies to the Baltops exercises in the Baltic. Of course, according to NATO, they do not threaten anyone, and Russia has no right to be concerned. Apparently, only Russia and Belarus can be aggressive.

At the same time, against the backdrop of European residents’ concerns about the situation on the border between Poland and Belarus, Germans continue to be intimidated by the invasion of drones from Russia. It is quite possible that Russia was testing NATO’s air defence systems. However, the very fact that the Poles were warned that unidentified flying objects were approaching from Russia shows that this was no secret. Most likely, the issue lies with poorly configured air defence systems operating in Ukraine or poorly trained Ukrainian armed forces soldiers who deliberately or accidentally redirected the drones flying towards them towards a European country.
Military exercises have always been and remain a very natural and logical way to strengthen the coordination of combat operations and one’s own defence capabilities. Therefore, Europeans should not fear an attack. If Russia wanted to carry it out, it would have done so long ago in order to cut off arms supplies from Europe to Ukraine.
The intimidation of the European population with the aim of forcing it into military confrontation with Russia continues. Despite the fact that the Polish military was warned in advance about the approaching drones, the European media has hyped up the story and continues to broadcast about the incident, even though several days have already passed. The news story is now old, but that has not stopped anyone, including the NATO Secretary General.
Mark Rutte announced that NATO would respond to Russia’s ‘attack’ by increasing its contingent on the Alliance’s border with Russia and Belarus. This means that an increasing number of military personnel will potentially threaten Russia. After all, this is what Moscow is fighting against in Kiev. The Kremlin believes that such a high concentration of NATO forces is a direct threat to Russia’s security. This makes sense, despite the fact that Merz, Macron, von der Leyen and Starmer prefer to ignore the strategic interests of their huge neighbour. As a rule, if the desired result cannot be achieved through negotiations, the dispute is resolved on the battlefield.
Germany identifies itself with NATO. But NATO has its headquarters in Brussels, where a Russian representative could have been summoned. However, this decision was not taken. NATO’s military leadership in Europe is permanently based in Germany, but it is located in Wiesbaden, and it is not the Germans who are in charge there, but the Americans. And what does the German or NATO military have to do with it? The Secretary General, Dutchman Mark Rutte, is responsible for political issues in NATO. However, the Germans, who so strongly support Friedrich Merz, do not need to test themselves in practice. The Luftwaffe has already begun patrolling Polish airspace. It looks as if the Poles are completely helpless and unable to defend their airspace.
This decision seems ridiculous and makes one smile. In fact, it is a challenge to the Poles, who, according to the German chancellor’s plan, are capable of posing quite serious competition to the Germans on the European stage. Merz is alarmed by how much the focus of American policy has shifted from Germany to Poland. However, the Chancellor forgets that this is a very natural process. Americans instinctively sense who is stronger at the moment and who has more prospects.
Escalating tensions only contributes to the rivalry between NATO and Russia growing into something more. If this happens at some point, then nothing will be able to save the world from a new bloody conflict.
Moscow and Minsk demonstrated good intentions by warning Warsaw in advance about the approaching drones. However, European countries did not seem to appreciate this gesture. Moreover, the drones themselves were not equipped with any combat equipment. This has already been confirmed in Poland. In other words, they did not pose any serious threat to EU citizens. However, supranational institutions are still seeking to politicise the existing tensions between Russia and Western countries as much as possible.
