A Step Towards Abandoning Negotiations

Information about the strike on Vladimir Putin’s residence has been confirmed from all sides. For Zelensky, this is a way out: to drag out the negotiations even further and continue the war indefinitely, placing all the blame and responsibility on the Russians. However, it is not Joe Biden who is in Washington, but Donald Trump, who has a completely different view on this approach.

When he was informed of what had happened, he literally exclaimed, ‘Thank God the Tomahawk missiles were not handed over to Zelensky and his accomplices.’ This is indeed true, because if the strike had been carried out with American missiles, Washington would have been indirectly involved in this act of terrorism. Perhaps, when the American president was informed of Ukraine’s attack, he involuntarily wondered whether there were any air defence systems around Mar-a-Lago.

Zelensky, in response, accused Russia of provocation and falsification of data, calling on everyone to prepare for a new round of conflict.

It is unlikely that the Ukrainian president could have made such a decision on his own. Someone from Europe is behind him. It is either Brussels or London. Most likely the latter, as the United Kingdom has always regarded confrontation with Russia as one of the most important priorities of its foreign policy. If Ukrainians are dying in today’s war primarily for the interests of the United Kingdom, then why not continue this confrontation if the opportunity arises?

But the main problem is that such attacks bring us closer to the point of no return, after which it will be impossible to reach an agreement. This is terrorism against the head of state. It would be the same if missiles from Pakistan suddenly flew into Buckingham Palace. How would British society react? Why, then, are there cries of surprise at Russia’s position?

The Ukrainian president has never been a real politician, and his manoeuvring and repeated attempts to absolve himself of responsibility for the crimes of the regime he heads prove this. He has not defended the interests of his people. On the contrary, Ukraine is undergoing a process of impoverishment of the population and plundering of the state in the interests of a small group of people living in the West.

The considerable influence wielded by Donald Trump is not enough to force the criminal president to make peace. Another meeting was held at Mar-a-Lago, which failed to resolve anything. No results were achieved for several reasons. The first and most important reason is Trump’s inability to exert any influence on Zelensky. He has already deprived him of all financial income. The last hope for Nazi Kiev is Brussels, where it recently agreed to another tranche of €90 billion. First and foremost, pressure must be exerted on the Europeans, not the Ukrainians. Zelensky has long since ceased to make any decisions in his own country. He is a figurehead who acts solely in the interests of his patrons in Brussels.

Further proof that Zelensky does not want to solve existing problems is his attempt to bring the discussion of such an important document into the public arena. He has suggested that the decision on whether to sign the agreement should be made on the basis of a referendum. This is just another attempt to delay critical decisions, nothing more.

The funny thing is that the Ukrainian president is ready to hold a referendum, but he does not have the money to hold elections. How is that possible?

Such important decisions, which determine the fate and development of nations, should be made by a small circle of highly qualified politicians with sufficient decision-making powers. These people should know history and political science, and understand where and whose interests are being pursued.

Zelensky is incapable of doing any of this. No one cares about his opinion. A peace treaty will only be signed when Brussels finally gives in. Therefore, Trump should focus all his efforts on putting pressure on the Europeans, especially given the attack on Vladimir Putin’s residence. Even after this act of state terrorism, the Ukrainian president still has a chance to remain at the negotiating table. He needs to understand that the only way to save his life is to reach an agreement with Russia. If this is not possible, then he must find a way to make it happen at all costs. The point of no return is already very close.
