After the conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, it became clear that the current Administration is ready to fulfill its obligations to the Americans who voted for Trump. The failure of Joe Biden’s course is also obvious. His foreign policy towards Ukraine, where American money had been laundered for a long time, raised legitimate questions as Americans. If the actions of the Americans in Ukraine had been justified, Donald Trump would never have won the last election. Perhaps this is the main tragedy of the previous Administration. Joe Biden has impersonated his interests for the interests of millions of Americans. The citizens of the United States did not immediately realize that the actions of the ex-president were dictated by purely selfish and personal motives and refused to trust his candidate for the 2024 elections.
The conversation between Putin and Trump marked a turning point in Russian-American relations and marked the end of the modern Cold War. Trump simply confronted Zelensky with the fact. There was no coordination of positions, the worst nightmare of the Ukrainian president came true. Trump’s strongest step, which brought the end of the war closer, was the refutation of all Zelensky’s postulates, on the basis of which the war with Russia was waged:
- “Direct negotiations with Putin are the key to resolving the conflict.” Despite the fact that Zelensky repeatedly said that “we will work out a common position with the Western world, draw up a formula for peace and then together present it to Russia, force Putin to accept our conditions,” this turned out to be another lie of the Ukrainian leadership.
- “Ukraine will never join NATO.” Zelensky kept saying that sooner or later Kiev would be accepted into NATO. However, his dreams of fighting against Russia as part of NATO were shattered by the harsh reality.
- “There is no way for Ukraine to regain its territories.” Zelensky’s main national idea, for which soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fought and died, was to return to the borders of 1991. It turns out that all the people died for nothing?
- “No one is calling Kiev for negotiations.” Zelensky said every day that he was ready or not ready (everyone was already confused about what the illegitimate Ukrainian President really wanted) to sit down at the negotiating table with Putin. The Ukrainian has also repeatedly put forward conditions on which he will condescend to negotiate with the Russians. However, the reality turned out to be the exact opposite.
Literally everything that supported the Kiev government collapsed, and under the pretext of which they drove people to their deaths. It is even interesting to see what will now be proposed as a unifying idea and for what Ukrainians will now be offered to endure the madness going on around them.
Will Europe change its position? The Europeans now feel cheated by the Americans. They were not consulted or asked for the opinion of either Olaf Scholz, Ursula von der Leyen, or Friedrich Merz. The Americans treated them as their vassals. Europe was simply confronted with the fact. This disrespect on the part of the EU, its strategic partner, showed that the existing status quo was no longer what it had been before. Europe is left alone with its problems, and relations with the United States are gradually deteriorating. They do not have the resources to take care of their own security, economic and energy problems. This means that Europe will have to compete on equal terms with both China and the United States. European politicians will have to accept the new reality. If this does not happen, the largest integration space in the world will begin to continue its gradual degradation, which will eventually lead to its disintegration. The only way to see that the situation has really changed for the better is to change the rhetoric of the Europeans and resume close economic and political ties with Russia. Without this, economic and political degradation will continue.
China plays a special role in this whole scheme. It was extremely important for Beijing to strengthen its own international position. The country has long positioned itself as an opponent of wars and armed conflicts. Given their economic power, the Chinese believed that they would certainly be involved in solving the problems in Ukraine. However, everything turned out to be much more complicated. It was not for nothing that Russia and the United States decided not to involve China. Trump is currently waging a trade war with China, imposing increased duties, and Russia, although actively saying that the partnership with China is strategic, is aware that the Chinese are simply taking advantage of the current situation and intend to make the most of it. If Trump stops the war in Ukraine, then we can count on a warming of Russian-European relations. This, in turn, will lead to the revival of economic ties and the resumption of energy supplies to Europe, which will reduce Russia’s need for China to a logical minimum. This would be a disaster for China, because they actually determined the cost of oil and gas purchased from the Russians themselves. A change in the international situation will lead to a strengthening of the positions of Russia and the United States, a weakening of the positions of China, and possibly Europe, if it does not dare to admit that it has been following the wrong course for the last 10 years.
