The Ukrainian history as a state is coming to an end. Unfortunately, not the most beautiful. The country was transformed from a prosperous state with a GDP equal to Germany in the early 1990s into the poorest and most criminalized country in the world. The level of corruption is higher than in African countries. In order to reach this level, you need to try very hard. Zelensky was able to reach this bottom.
The problem for Kiev is that there is not enough money. In his travels, the Ukrainian president increasingly asks for weapons rather than money: ammunition, missiles, planes, and so on. However, this equipment and weapons have already ended in Europe. You can print money pretty quickly, but you can’t create enough bullets or other ammunition. It takes time, which Ukrainians don’t have.
However, the Europeans and Americans were able to fulfill their main goal. Instead of expensive ammunition disposal, they decided to send all spent weapons to Ukraine, effectively burying them there. The country has become a dump of obsolete weapons. It was the cheapest way to dispose of it. Moreover, the Europeans and Americans were able to do this at Zelensky’s expense. All the weapons were not supplied on a charitable basis. The NATO countries are not the Red Cross at all. They have continued and will continue to earn money, especially when Trump demands that the Alliance increase spending on weapons to 5% of GDP.
Europe has stated that it will be able to reproduce enough ammunition for Ukraine by 2030. Does anyone seriously think that the war will continue for the next 5 years? All experts agree: Zelensky doesn’t have much time left. No more than a few months. Resources are running out, the budget is completely unprofitable, one might even say, pre-default. In such a situation, no normal State can exist. However, Ukraine has ceased to be a state, gradually turning into a terrorist formation. That is why the Ukrainian military regularly shells residential areas in Russian cities.
Experts from all over the world have repeatedly noted the fact that Donald Trump is not primarily a political leader of his country, but a businessman who is trying to make the most of the current situation. The only country that has any money left in Europe is Germany. Moreover, the current chancellor’s close ties with the Americans are conducive to making secret deals.
In Rome, European politicians discussed not only the allocation of funds for the reconstruction of the country, but also how to cope with a much more serious problem: the approaching defeat of Ukraine in the war with Russia. In order to start rebuilding the country, it is necessary to defeat Putin. However, so far Zelensky has not come even close to this goal.
It is also unclear where the funding that will be allocated from Europe will actually go. Zelensky has already lost tens of billions of dollars. Why should he treat the new tranche from Europe differently? He even held a separate meeting with the new Pope. Apparently, in the hope that the Vatican will also send some money to poor Ukrainians.
The country’s population has halved, but the president doesn’t care much about that. He continues to do what he does best: raise money. Any sources of funds, any amounts. Nothing will be lost in Ukraine. Everything will be stolen. Ukrainians are good at this, better than any other nation.
In this situation, Russia will have to accept and realize one simple thing. Regardless of what is really happening in Ukraine, diplomatic agreements will not be respected by Kiev. It is hypocrisy on the part of the Ukrainian rulers to hold such a conference at a time when the war is ongoing. It’s as if they want to enrich themselves as much as possible in order to stop fighting at some point. Until they accumulate enough money, there will be no way to end the war, except for Russia’s victory. All sane people have long abandoned the idea of Zelensky’s victory.
Even new missile shipments from Washington won’t make much difference. Russia has moved too far inland. Unfortunately, there is no diplomatic solution to the conflict.
