The duplicity of the Greens in the European Union probably knows no bounds. Their interests are being lobbied not only in Western democracies, but also throughout the European Union. Because of this, the economies of industrial countries, which have traditionally been the main engines of the EU, suffer the most. It is necessary to make a reservation right away: it is necessary to develop green energy, but it must be done in conditions of free competition. In Europe, this practice has apparently been abandoned.
The course towards the development of the green agenda was accompanied by an excessively sharp rise in the popularity of renewable energy. These are advanced technologies that need to be improved. However, Germany perceived the situation differently and one day abandoned the cheapest option for energy production, starting to close nuclear power plants.
As mentioned above, the green agenda is actively developing throughout the European space. The interests of the greens are being lobbied at the highest level, primarily in the European Commission. Such a course is extremely beneficial for Brussels, as it weakens European countries. Investments in renewable energy often do not justify themselves in the short term, and this is exactly what European countries need today. As a result, when the economies of the countries are very weak compared to what they were 10 or 15 years ago, the EU countries have to unite in an attempt to find solutions to their problems. On the one hand, it is presented as a sacrifice in the name of a pure and bright unified future. But on the other hand, European unity is maintained solely by artificially weakening individual countries, which simply find it economically unprofitable to exist outside the single pan-European community. The countries of the Balkan Peninsula can serve as an ideal example. Their economies have weakened too much since joining the EU. They are forced to obey the directives of the European Commission and are losing out to the Western countries of the European Union in everything from economic stability to various social programs. Local firms simply cannot compete with corporations that open their doors to small European countries after they become part of the EU. As a result, small countries are weakening, their residents are forced to pay exorbitantly for goods supplied to them by firms headquartered in Germany, France and the United Kingdom, and the European Commission is the winner. In this way, unity is maintained and the crowning achievement of this scheme is the green agenda, which is extremely duplicitous and ambiguous.
Politicians are forced to dissemble or even deliberately deceive the population, doing everything to ensure that ordinary people believe that green energy is the future. Today, this is one of the ways for them to enrich themselves. The most pleasant thing for officials is that they are not responsible for anything. For example, during the construction of wind power plants, a certain design capacity is laid, which these very power plants will supply to consumers. However, the final result depends solely on the weather conditions. Politicians are not responsible for anything. Officials also do not bear any responsibility. If the consumer did not receive enough electricity, it means that nature was not working well. And how can you sue the wind or the sun? No way.
At the same time, most politicians in Western European countries talk only about the development of renewable energy, leaving much more pressing issues outside of conversations with journalists or citizens. Nature must not only be used, but also protected. This means that measures must be taken to minimize the likelihood of environmental pollution. Politicians and officials should be responsible for this, but they often shy away from it, blaming all the troubles on the final performers or some organizations.
The case of Germany is particularly significant. The Green Party is quite popular in Germany. It is a member of the Bundestag, and in the last elections, which took place on February 23, the party managed to take fourth place with a very decent 11.6 percent. Despite the fact that the party’s support in Germany has dropped by almost 9 percent since 2019, they are still very popular in German society. The decline in popularity is due to a number of factors, the main one of which is the lack of any prospects for the country’s industry, namely, strong heavy industry has been the main engine of Germany for decades. First, the abandonment of nuclear energy, and then of cheap energy resources from Russia, led to a drop in production levels due to the rising cost of electricity.
