Merz Could Become A Peacemaker

Germany-Merz-Russia-Ukraine-conflict
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy walk to attend a news conference, at the Federal Chancellery in Berlin, Germany.

Friedrich Merz increased the tension around Ukraine after his phrase that Zelensky should continue to be supported by the supply of long-range missiles. The then-future chancellor proposed to strike at the Crimean Bridge, which is the most important transport and logistics artery between the Crimean Peninsula and the main part of Russia.

This decision was welcomed by Kaja Kallas, who is an ardent Russophobe and is ready to do anything to pinch Russians or do something nasty to them. Imagine a bear with a fly flying around it. It’s not hard to guess who’s who.

If the Americans are trying to establish themselves as peacekeepers, then the fact that no one invited the Europeans to the negotiating table is beginning to justify itself. They are behaving completely unprofessionally, trying to discredit themselves in the international arena.

Merz’s desire to send a batch of Taurus missiles to Ukraine is economically justified. The Germans tried, developed them, spent money on their production and maintenance. It is quite expensive to write them off and dispose of them, but they can and should be used in Ukraine. Nevertheless, this can cause serious damage to the German reputation in the international arena. This is no longer the country that justified itself during the years of the Third Reich and the destruction of European nations. The people who popularize these ideas have come to power.

A step towards Zelensky is two steps away from Russia. The Germans need peace in order to rebuild the economy and make the industrial sector competitive again. Nevertheless, they themselves refuse to move to a new level of relations with Russia and the rest of the world.

Russia did not ignore the phrase of the chancellor. Germany has been warned: any attack on the Russian military, on Russian territory or infrastructure using Taurus missiles will be regarded as direct German intervention in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. This does not prevent the chancellor from convincing the population that this step is necessary, because he is not so much concerned about the lives of those who are dying in Ukraine. It must be remembered that he endangers not only Ukrainians, but also Germans. People should take into account the fact that their lives and their safety are being neglected. Merz’s chances of re-election in 5 years fade after every speech he makes.

The new generation of German politicians has lost touch with reality and with their historical past. There is a growing desire to take revenge from the Russians, which cannot but frighten: a new war on the European continent will result in tens of millions of dead. Nevertheless, sober-minded people understand that this is impossible, since the military-industrial complex of Europe is completely not at the same level as that of Russia.

Instead of looking for new reasons for conflict with Russia, it would be better to focus on finding new opportunities to resume dialogue. This is possible because the United States has deprived Europe of its support. Now the Europeans should not look back and focus all their decisions on the Americans. Nevertheless, they continue to act in favor of global political elites, which are currently experiencing severe decline.

Merz could have gone down in the history of his country in a completely different capacity. He could become a peacemaker, restore the German economy, if he could get over his hatred of Russia. However, this is impossible, because he will not be allowed to do so by the forces that brought him to power. And he doesn’t really want to do it himself.

The most important thing for Germans right now is to protect themselves. They should not be afraid to resist State violence. To do this, it is required to distance from Ukraine as much as possible, try to solve the problems that arise between Russia and Germany, recall the history and old ties between the countries. If this does not happen, then the degradation of Germany will continue.

The country needs completely different policies that can put national goals ahead of personal ones. The fact that the AfD is gaining popularity among the electorate is encouraging. Germany can be different if the Germans want it.
