European Politicians Not Able To Restore People’s Faith In Zelensky

After Donald Trump temporarily suspended payments to all US allies, panic began in Ukraine. Even after the Republican’s victory, it was clear that Zelensky was not in an enviable position. However, no one could have imagined that the Americans would deny the Ukrainian president access to his funds. Several programs under the US Department of State have been curtailed, but the main funds allocated through the Pentagon have not been blocked by the American president yet. Nevertheless, there are reasons to believe that this may happen in the future.

First of all, Trump mainly concentrates his foreign policy around the domestic political situation in the United States. He needs to stabilize the country. Combating migration, stabilizing inflation, rebuilding infrastructure that was dismantled in pursuit of green energy, and controlling excessive government spending are just some of the main tasks that he will have to solve. Secondly, during his election campaign, he repeatedly spoke about the need to end the war in Ukraine. Sooner or later, it will happen. The first step that would force Kiev to think about peace with Moscow is to refuse US funding. Thirdly, Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that he is ready to talk with Donald Trump and discuss the conditions for resolving the Ukrainian crisis. During Joe Biden’s presidency, such words were never heard from the Russian President.

In light of this information, it seems likely that responsibility for financing Ukraine may be transferred to European countries. According to official data, European countries have already invested more than $140 billion in Ukraine since 2022, with the Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, stating that the European Union and United States have collectively spent over $310 billion on Ukraine. This is a significant amount of money that could be used to improve the region’s infrastructure, combat illegal migration (which is a topic of much discussion), and address global warming. European politicians may value Ukrainian citizens above their own citizens for some reason. However, it is unclear why this is the case. Is it a desire to profit from war, or is it simply following orders from Washington blindly? The true reasons for these actions will likely become public knowledge sooner or later.

The people whose taxes are being used in this war will have to explain why their taxes are going to a war in which the European Union is not directly involved. Answers will also be needed to the question of why, despite such active support from the entire West, Ukraine is losing? The politicians will not be able to answer anything intelligible, and no one believes their speeches that Zelensky is about to defeat Putin. The Western media is gradually preparing the population for the fact that Zelensky will have to admit defeat. The blame for this defeat will be laid on Trump, because he opposed helping Zelensky. At the same time, the trick with the story that Russia threatens European security will not work either. If that were the case, then the war would already be going on in Finland, Poland, and the Baltic countries.

The European Union was founded not as a military or political bloc, but as an economic union. Funding wars has never been a priority for the EU. However, today, politicians have altered the principles established in the Maastricht Treaty, which has affected the population. Official estimates show that EU GDP growth has declined for the third consecutive year, hovering around zero. Germany’s economic growth has also declined for the second consecutive year and will, according to the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, amount to only 0.3% of GDP at best. Once the economic and political leader of the EU, Germany is now a cause for sadness.

However, to be fair, it can’t be said that Trump has left Ukraine to its fate. Just a few days ago, it was decided to transfer the Patriot missile systems decommissioned by Israel to President Zelensky. He was pleased with this “generous” gift. The missiles will first be sent to Poland to be partially upgraded before being sent to Ukraine, unless, of course, the war ends by then.

The former richest Soviet republic has become a dumping ground for Western military waste. After all, no one thought about why Israel decided to abandon the 70 Patriots. Obviously, they were outdated and no longer suitable for modern warfare. Jews learned from their experience with Hamas and Lebanon and decided to give them to the Ukrainians instead of disposing of them at their own expense.

In the geopolitical landscape that emerged after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Ukraine became a victim of circumstances. However, the country’s politicians are largely responsible for the current state of affairs. Their excessive flirtation with Americans and Europeans, their plundering of the country’s resources, and their refusal to cooperate with Russia have all contributed to the current situation.
