“Unmasking Syria’s War—Truth, Propaganda & Power Games”

6:55-16:40

6:55

I think it’s going to be, um, it’s going to be a long time before

7:01

Syria is fully back on its feet in in any way shape or form as it was before.

7:08

Um, I think what you’re seeing now in Syria is the maneuvering of, as you said,

7:14

all of the powers that were both involved in defending Syria but also

7:19

those that were involved in the final um overthrow of the Syrian government and

7:25

the Syrian people, because I don’t really divide the two — It was the Syrian people that fought for its own sovereignty and

7:32

for its existence as a as a secular inclusive state for 14 years. The Syrian

7:39

Arab army was the Syrian people. Um I really have to stress that they didn’t

7:46

surrender. Um there was surrender but it was um orchestrated, and actually the

7:53

Syrian Arab army was left with absolutely no option but to surrender. We can go into more detail on that, but they

8:00

were betrayed at a very high level, um both internally and externally from the

8:05

information that I gleaned from being on the ground during the last days um and

8:11

also since I’ve left Syria, and I’ve had the opportunity to speak to former

8:16

military, former um national defense forces, former um let’s say people who

8:23

were close to the uh inner circle of power, and so on. So the the picture has become a lot clearer for me, um, and and I

8:34

think you know the entire story that the Syrian army surrendered is is for me

8:40

something um I do kind of take it personally, because I was on the ground in Syria

8:47

from 2016 onwards, and I witnessed how the Syrian Arab Army soldiers who were

8:52

on salaries of around $20 to $40 who every time I photographed them um it it

9:00

broke my heart when I saw them wearing trainers and slippers while they were fighting while they were wearing

9:06

mismatched uniforms that they had to go to the market and buy themselves while ISIS and al-Qaeda and HTS and all

9:13

of the derivatives from al-Qaeda that were being funded by the US UK Israeli

9:20

Gulf States Turkish alliance, were were there with the most state-of-the-art

9:26

equipment uniforms um, as we saw actually from the photographs of the early days

9:31

of the attack on Aleppo, and even prior to that of uh Ukrainian forces training

9:38

Julani’s militia prior to the attack on Aleppo in November 2024,

9:46

um and the fact that those soldiers who were conscripts from all walks of life

9:51

in Syria so they came from Sunni Muslim communities, in fact they were dominated

9:56

by uh Sunni Muslims both in the command uh the command structure in Syria of the

10:03

intelligence the security the military the government were absolutely almost

10:09

95% Sunni Muslim. So this entire kind of cannard that that that this was a

10:16

freedom movement against Alawite dominance in Syria is absolutely insane, which of course is now justifying the

10:23

ethnic cleansing programs against the Alawite communities particularly on the coast but also in central Syria in Homs

10:30

and on the border um with Lebanon. And I think what we’re seeing now

10:39

um is the maneuvering by all of those players, um, China is probably the most

10:45

quiet of all of them over Syria. Um Russia is definitely maneuvering to

10:52

consolidate its base on the coast, because it’s — I was talking to a couple of ambassadors today who were formerly

10:58

in uh Syria who were talking to me having had discussions with the former

11:04

Russian ambassador, um the importance of that base is the connection to Africa and to Libya of

11:11

course, um, for Russia, and the fact that that base is effectively their only

11:16

footprint really in the West Asia region. Russia also had the exclusive

11:23

exploration rights for the Syrian gas reserves off off that coastal area of

11:29

Syria, um they were given those in 2013 but they never went ahead and explored

11:35

those gas reserves. So I think for Russia it’s it’s been

11:40

um uh a a difficult time for them to achieve what they want to do which is

11:47

that consolidation, and that remaining on the coast. I do believe they’ve been in

11:52

negotiations with Israel. Israel has been lobbying the US to allow Russia to stay

11:58

because for both Russia and Israel the important thing is to prevent Erdogan’s

12:05

expansionism. And so we have actually seen Israel and Russia working in tandem to some degree. We’ve seen Israel bombing

12:11

the Turkish proxies that have been um leading drone attacks for example

12:17

against [Russia’s] Khmeimim base, um and uh for both of

12:22

them, as I said, they want to prevent Erdogan’s um neo-Ottoman ambitions in

12:28

Syria. And we saw that very clearly when for example Erdogan had been discussing

12:34

with Julani that he would establish air defense um and military bases in central

12:40

Syria in Palmira in T4 in Hama which is to the south of Idlib um relatively

12:48

close to the to Latakia and Tartus to the coastal regions and almost immediately Israel bombed them. Um I

12:55

think that that was one of the most intense bombing raids since the fall of Damascus

13:00

when of course Israel effectively decimated Syria’s um military naval air

13:07

capability completely in the 48 hours, I think, it carried out something like 700

13:13

strikes. But more recently it carried out I think it was between 25 and 30 strikes

13:18

in one night on on those centers that had been earmarked by Turkey for

13:24

establishing air defense and establishing military presence in central Syria which of course would then

13:31

impinge on Israel’s um agenda of creating the David Corridor which would

13:37

run from the south up the eastern flank of Syria entering Iraq and going as far

13:43

as the Euphrates [in accord with Genesis 15:18-21, which is the very foundation of Zionism], and that’s why for Israel it’s important for them to maintain the Kurdish factions in the

13:50

northeast because they’ve always supported Kurdish separatist movements for that reason because they know that

13:56

it’s a forward settler movement for them and it will enable them to expand um to

14:01

the extent that they want to. At the same time um I’ve just written about the fact

14:07

that the British are back in force um having seen the collapse of the Sykes

14:12

Picot um treaty which was signed between the French and the British in 1916 to

14:19

carve up the region um and extend uh French and British spheres of influence

14:25

in the region and that had largely been broken and was disappearing because of

14:30

the unity of the resistance axis. Um but now we’re actually seeing the

14:36

British back in force both intelligence and military uh and private military

14:42

contractors, British run, are now back in Syria. Um talking about cooperation with

14:49

al-Qaeda on military and defense which of course works in favor of Israel

14:54

because that means that they can contain the Takfiri project within British

14:59

control mechanisms. But what’s also interesting because I would say the animosity between Britain and Russia is

15:07

far greater than between the US uh and Russia. We’ve seen an uptick in the

15:13

actual seriousness of attacks on the Russian base since the British have been back in Damascus in force. Uh Turkey is

15:22

in the midst of negotiations with Israel but it’s very clear that it’s sort of received the message loud and clear um

15:30

from Israel it hasn’t extended its reach any further from the northern sectors

15:36

mostly Aleppo and then a stretch across central northern Syria which it wants to

15:42

keep to um prevent the unification of Kurdish factions in the northwest with

15:48

the Kurdish factions in the northeast. Um Israel of course has expanded into um

15:56

southern Syria and it’s currently trying to weaponize the Druse animosity towards

16:02

al-Qaeda um to enable it to secure its foothold in the south prior to it extending to

16:10

the David Corridor up the eastern flank which of course at the moment is occupied basically by the US and US

16:17

proxies. This gets terribly complicated by the US and US proxies, which are

16:23

effectively the former free Syrian army and ISIS, who are also operating in the

16:28

northeast and the eastern areas and have taken territory um approaching Damascus

16:34

from the east. I think I’ll stop there because I’m sure there’s questions.

16:41

She goes on to describe what is in fact a failed state, where Julani (the former head of al-Qaeda in Syria and also of ISIS in Syria) is the leader, but which was masterminded actually by British intelligence (26:19): “This is an intelligence operation against Syria that was begun by the Brits back in well post-911 between Bush and Blair, I just wrote about this and it’s the British intelligence [MI6] that has run this war. The Americans, I tend to see them as the muscle and the brawn and the heavyweight support, but the Brits are the ones behind the scenes running it.” That fits in with my writing that the U.S. Government was basically taken over by the UK’s Government, on 25 July 1945. However, installing Julani into power was a result of the entire U.S. alliance: America, Britain, Israel, Turkey, Qatar, and the Sauds; and all of them participated in it for different reasons (which also happened in the case of Libya). Broadly speaking, it is the U.S. empire, but what it produces is failed states.
