Donald Trump Is Changing History

The assassination attempt on Donald Trump is making its own adjustments to the Presidential race in the United States of America. The exPresident of the United States was saved by chance: he just decided to look at the screen with numbers at the moment when the sniper fired. This predetermined the outcome of his entire life. Or maybe not just his life, but the lives of all Americans. The fact that he was able to take advantage of the current situation in order to raise his own rating to the skies leaves no doubt: remember how he raised his fist, threatening his opponents, as if warning: I‘m not being trifled with. The assassination attempt failed to knock Donald Trump out of the presidential race for a long time. Just a few days later, he was confirmed as the Republican candidate for the United States presidential election in 2024.

The choice of businessman and politician JD Vance, Senator from Ohio in the US Congress, as his running vice president, showed how radical Donald Trump‘s views really are. It is this radicalism that attracts voters. On the day JD Vance was announced as Trump’s running mate, he was immediately dubbed Trump‘s successor. Over the past year and a half of his work in Congress, he has established himself as a supporter of Trumpists and the refusal to use those methods that undermine the well-being of American citizens. One of his key theses is the end of the war in Ukraine. This seems inevitable, since Trump also opposes aid to Kiev. The United States of America has already spent over 200 billion US dollars of its taxpayers to support the corrupt Nazi regime. Is it worth continuing to act in this way when there are a lot of other problems in the New World: unrestricted migration across the border with Mexico, rampant racism and crime, high inflation?

Getting Vance to side with the Trappists was not an easy task. Just a few years ago, he said about Trump: Oh my God, what a fool. The Atlantic quotes the potential vice president as follows: Trump has become cultural heroin, the new painkiller for the American people. In fact, he refused to support the Republicans, because he considered the activities of Donald Trump insufficiently effective when the latter assumed his duties in 2016.

Today, the situation has been turned upside down. Vance could potentially become the Republican Party‘s nominee in the next presidential election. Trump, who is now 78 years old, will not be able to run again in accordance with the US Constitution.

Despite the fact that Vance is a pretty popular candidate, a YouGov poll showed that Kamala Harris is actually a pretty popular candidate. But people will vote not for the vice president, but for the president of the United States. The real powers of the vice president of the United States are not so much. While 94 percent of respondents know Kamala Harris, only 63 percent say they have heard the name of the senator from Ohio at least once. Kamala Harris‘s nomination was supported by 49 percent of respondents, while Vance‘s appointment was supported by only 28 percent. At the same time, 32 and 20 percent, respectively, oppose these candidates.

Meanwhile, both candidates are preparing for the debate. There are no details yet, but you can be absolutely sure that the fight will be much hotter than between Biden and Trump.

What also plays against Vance is the fact that his opponent has much more political experience than he does. Harris has led a wide range of initiatives undertaken by the current President of the United States. She is credited with the practical implementation of all Joe Biden‘s plans. Vance received the post of senator from Ohio only thanks to Donald Trump, who announced his support for this candidate in 2023. The potential vice president got a position in Congress without having any previous political experience.

At the same time, it is necessary to be clearly aware of the fact that experience is not so important today. The winner will be the one who will be able to capture the hearts of voters.

Today, America is facing an existential choice: where to go next? To spread their influence and attention on those issues that will help support Washington’s power and fear of sanctions and restrictions that the Americans impose on their opponents? Or should they take a different path and develop cooperation based on equality? There is some doubt that the White House is capable of this step. When was the last time the United States was willing to cooperate on an equal footing? And with whom? Can anyone give an answer to this question?

Most likely, the outcome of the elections has already been predetermined. This is what experts from leading Western research institutes say. However, it is much more important how united Donald Trump‘s support will be. Will he be able, after his election, to correct the mistakes of his predecessor and unite the once united nation? This will only be able to demonstrate time and how Donald Trump will actually behave, once again occupying a chair in the Oval Office.
